Default Will a T5 work on a LM7?

i was wondering if itll work and what would be needed? ive seen one guy do it on the v8 rx7 forums.

yes. there are a few running around here. By yes, I'm referring to TKO5-600's.

I can't remember everypart that is required but a quick search should help you out.

You can use the keisler tranny bellhousing to mate the t5...can't remember the rest!

the T5 problem usually wont get wrecked from the performance of the engine but from the loose nut with his hand on the shifter even with an aftermarket shifter they are suseptable to burred syncronizers and front main shaft bearing failure since 3rd is an unsupported gear. I personally have destroyed a total of 11 BW T5 trannys and 4 of which were within a one month period. Lots of Fun

Sounds like it. Lots of people prefer the T56..more stout.

just curious. not planning to beat on the car. just to drive around and the lm7 was just gonna be pretty much stock with a ls1 manifold. so itll maybe be around 300hp or so. im not sure on what it would make.

easier to adapt ls1 t56 and will hold more power, etc.

but tryin to find a good t56 for under $900 is kinda hard.

i know, i regret sellin the one i had as spare.
but th350 will be cheeper, quicker, and if so need the manual shifting, it can be built in
