Throttle cable?
Im getting ready to put in an LS1 out of a 98 trans am into my 69 chevelle. I was wanting to know if these LS1 motors use a throttle cable or a fly by wire system. If they use a cable, can I use my factory one? And yes, I am new to LS engines. So bare with me...!!

would the cable for a fourth gen fbody work? i got one for my third gen swap, but then i went dbw. thought if it fit the third gen it might fit your chevelle and be a little cheaper too.

He stated that it is a 69 Chevelle.
Many have tried a few different OEM cable and most will work if they are long enough. Most have stated that the F-Body is too short.. VAN one seems to be the longer choice.
I am using a Lokar "TC-1000LS1" cable, it is 36" and should be more than long enough for you swap. I am just using my 71 Chevelle peddal and goes stright to the TB.
