Widest wheel/tire combo on Gbody Cutlass/Regal? 17s or 18s please...
Hey Guys,
After a lot of discussion with the boss (wife) I have modified my build plans slightly and will be assembling my Cutlass with a little bit more of a Pro-Touring/handling feel and less of an all out race car. That being said, what is the largest (read: widest) wheel/tire combo you've been able to stuff successfully underneath a Gbody Cutlass or Regal? I would even consider Monte Carlos/Malibus but I believe they are a little different.
I am thinking with some minor frame/fender lip trimming, I could get a 285/40-17 under it or a 285/40-18 under her. I am going with either a Billet Specialties wheel or Rushforth wheel.
Suspension will be lowered. I believe right now it is down 3 in the front and 2 in the ***.
Billet Specialties Street Lite in 17s
Rushforth Wheels

Thanks!
Dave

Frames are almost identical. Good starter info in the link but nothing set in stone.
