Default GM. muscle car pan kit.

I just got my g.m. muscle car ls1 pan kit from jegs. Looks great, but the sump may be to deep?. It looks as if 1/1.5'' below front crossmember. Is this a problem?

My headers hang down at least that low. The stock oil pan is a little below the cross member.

Same kit here, but in a truck so I'm not really worried about clearance. What I would do if you're worried about smacking the pan on something, a valid worry, is tack on a bar or tab to your cross member to 'warn' you if you're going over something to high.

The GM Muscle Car pan/Kit is nothing more than the LH8 / Hummer pan...
