my 2000 S10 LH6 5.3l swap is done!
I started my swap around august 2nd and finished up on aug 21st. the truck started on the first key turn, it runs good i just need to get a better converter and the tune tweaked some more.
the engine is an LH6 5.3 gen 4 with ported 799 heads comp cams cam, and 918 springs. stock lower end with ARP rod bolts.stock S10 4L60E i just rebuilt it with a wide kevlar band, red eagle clutches, Z-pak, black kolene steels, trans go shift kit and changed the input shaft, bellhousing, and converter for an LS1.I used the stock hard lines up to the back of the engine then used adaptors and an lines to the fuel rail. I used all truck accessories, and Stock S10 power steering system. I used CPW motor mounts and modified the stock trans cross member, and i shortened the front part of the driveshaft 1in to fit. I used an aftermarket modine radiator which has a bigger core than stock. stock 01 truck harness i just modified it and re-routed wires for the S10 fit. the truck is alot of fun and very fast! i need suspension work in the rear done next it wheels hops bad! the truck has chrome ZR1 wheels and lowered 2 and 3". It was alot of work but well worth it now! I plan on relocating the battery to the drivers side or the bed for the truck. all options work like the cruise control . next i plan on painting the front grille to match the truck and an xtreme front bumper and bucket front seats... here are some pics:

Wow awesome job are you still using the stock exhaust manifolds or s-10 v8 headers like sandersons? I bet that thing is a blast to drive to, I'd love to put a LQ9 in my 98 or even a 5.3 with 243 heads or 799's like yours and a healthy cam and blast off! I want to see videos!!! I bet along with that built tranny that little truck just takes off!

Thank you. Was wondering what size pacers I should run. I have a custom big brake kit I made up. And will need extra wheel clearance. And the ZR-1 wheels will work great. But I want to try and get as much rubber under the truck as possible. Looking for 315 rears, and 265 or 275 fronts.
