Default painless wiring - coolant temp, wire cut off

Hey guys, I'm using a Painless Perf. wiring harness for a 98 LS1. The ECT has three wires on the connector, but one wire, the green wire, is cut. Anyone know the reason for this? Where does this wire go? It doesn't say in the Painless instructions.

Here's a pic of it:

Thanks for any help/advice. Am I ok to just connect it and not worry about that wire?

Alldata shows that wire going to the cluster, So you dont need it, unless you are using a matched gauge in your dash then you could wire it to that wire.

Nope, I'm using aftermarket gauges. My water temp gauge goes to their sending unit that I put on the rear of the passenger side head. Thanks Mark!
