Question LQ9 Drive Setup

Anybody know if either of these drive setups will work on an LQ9 engine? I'm still waiting on delivery of my LQ9 which will be going into my Chevelle. One of the things I don't care for (visually) about the engine is the alternator position when using a car intake (sits high on drivers side).

If these won't work, is there a bracket that moves the Alternator. I know Speartech and others make a relocation bracket for the pulley near the intake.

Yes, those will work. You can also piece together a Camaro setup if you don't need the A/C

Both of those kits are sold through paceperformance.com without the AC under the part numbers listed above

Nice!!

Yes, I'll PM NemeSS too, thanks for the info.

I had heard on the LS1 setup that there was only one bolt hole on the iron blocks for one of the brackets (think it was for the alternator). I suppose I could tap a hole or just use one bolt (that's if I go with that particular setup).

On an iron block the lower alt bolt isnt drilled and tapped. Not a big deal to do though.

the parts i designed will eliminate any interferece with the steering gear, kmember, shock tower area. they will allow for truck manifolds turbo hotparts build, use gm 1 wire alternator. and various ps or ps delete configurations.
will allow use of ls ac compressor and bracket, ac location is oe location. ac use subjective to vehicle kmember inteference.
the iron blocks will no longer have to drilled and tapped for the fbody alt. bracket, since this configuration is eliminated. the alt. is more inboard than even the c5 configuration and uses a more compact alternator. the alternators used can be used in 105 or 150 amp versions.
im working on becoming a sponsor, so i cannot legitimately post pics, info or prices, until sponsorship is activated.
the parts are in there final refined versions and near complete for release.

not sure if ur using ac. but i put an ls1 wp, alt, and crank pulley. 50 for the wp, 60 for alt and bracket and 40 for pulley.
150 dollars later got an ls1 belt system on my lq motor.
not the best pic in the world sorry.
