installing ls1/4l60e in 68 camaro

have the shifter w/ 4th gear conversion

need to order tranny shifter cable

do i need a kickdown cable, or is that electronic now

& what does a throttle valve cable do ?

No you don't need a kick down cable also know as the TV cable. In simple terms, the TV cable in the older non-PWM pressure controlled trannies, controlled the line pressure, which in turn controlled the firmness of the shift. As far as what shift cable you need, I can't help you there, but if you search through some of the swap threads find somebody who did a simulat swap and ask them, if they didn't post the info
