Default Ls1 runing to cool

I have a LS1 in a 67 Camaro. It has a 187 degree thermostat in it. It will idle at 185 to 190. Right were it should be. When I drive it the temp drops to about 150 or cooler if it is cooler out. I think the water pump is pulling water past the thermostat. I have replaced the thermostat many times. The fans never come on during this time. I am considering trying to restrict the upper hose some to keep water in the engine longer. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks Eric

Mine runs pretty cool. I have a dual pass radiator. What radiator do you have? Try blocking half of the radiator with cardboard to see how high the temp will go.

Fast400,
What trany are you running? I have been thinking about dual pass redi from JEGS. I am running a auto and not sure if a trany cooler WITHOUT a fan would "cut it". Any thoughts?
thanks
Jim
