Not sure about the Hummer thing, the pics I have seen aren't what I own.

I've used that pan kit and it works great. That is what is referenced as the "Muscle Car Oil Pan Kit" in the GMPP catalog and it is basically a Gen III version of the time honored old school small block pan. You don't need to buy anything else except an oil filter, the engine to sit on it and some oil to fill it. It even comes with a new gasket and bolts.

BTW - the oil filter you need for that pan is the same part as a 2007 6.0 Silverado HD.

This pan isn't as short as the fabled "Camaro" pan but isn't extra feet deep like the truck pan either. It's somewhere in the middle about 1.5" or 2" shorter than the truck unit. I measured the thing before I put it on but I can't find the pics with the ruler in front of it. The shallow slope is longer front to back than the Camaro unit which may save you having to cut it like many people did with the Camaro pans on older swaps.

Is that the same as the 5.3 H3 pan that many use for 2wd S10 LSx conversions?

If so, I need one too.

Never mind. I figured it out.
