Default need help on 98 LS1 hybrid

need a good idear for plugging the hole in intake manafold right behind the throttle body coming from the exhaust on the left side. don't even know what it for
but I'm getting rid of it. The headers did'nt have anything on them for that, and john spears did't put a plug for it on my harness. so I guess I don't need it. is it cut and weld or turn out a new plug. it seem to me if you cut that part off that hang down in air path it will help air flow, any info on this thing will ease my mind.

do u mean the egr port? thelarge bore behind the tb?
u can use a 1 3/8 steel or brass freeze plug to plug it,
make sure its locating square and tap in place with large socket and drive it in about an 1/8 or deeper, less than a 1/4in.
problem solved

a simple fix that works is a plumbers pipe plug at your local hardware store.

or you can just go to the dealer and by a egr delete plate serial #12558346 for $18 bucks search it i will post a picture but i dont know how to post up a picture yet and about the plug that you are missing you not really missing nothing you just have a newer a 01-02 harness that dont come with a egr thats why you dont have a plug for the egr but you should not have the hole on the intake you should have a ls6 intake unless you bought everything seperate but good luck
