the only codes it is throwing is from being in speed density(MAF stuff). is there a way to use a scanner to check the cam position sensor and the crank position sensor to make sure there reading? thanks

You didn't say, but does the fuel pump prime when the key is turned on? And are you absolutely sure you have power to the injectors and the coils? Where are you grounding your volt meter when checking for power? Have you checked and double checked to make sure the grounds are hooked up (usually at the rear of the head) and that they are tight, good grounds?
This HAS to be something simple, since you said it was running.

ok. i checked all the grounds. pulled the harness out and checked every wire to make sure it was good and in the right pin. still nothing. there is no tach out put.
here is a run down of everything
self made harness, no oil pressure connector, speed density tune so no maf and there is no IAT sensor hooked up. All the injectors and coils have power.
there is no spark and no injector pulse. it ran before for 5 min and shut its self off and has been like this ever since.

I hate saying this, but if the PCM is not grounding the injectors, maybe it is the PCM?

One other thing? How did you bypass the vats? Did you turn it off in the PCM or put a signal generator on it?

My mustang did this, though I'm not sure if it's going to cure your issue. My car was idling, and acted like it ran out of gas. I put gas in it, and it still wouldn't fire. Fuel pump wasn't working. Ran a direct power to it and tried to start it. Fuel pump came on but had no injector pulse. My pcm wasn't grounding the injectors. I had power to the injectors. I eventually found that the pcm wasn't sufficiently grounded, though I had all my grounds hooked up. I ran a ground to the case of the pcm and boom, fired right up. I'm not sure why, but I didn't have sufficient ground. Try a quick ground to the case of the pcm before you throw it in the trash.
Hope this helps

I dunno if you ever got the scanner you said you were going to....but a bad Coolant Temp Sensor and Crank Position Sensor killed my car while it was running, then wouldn't allow it to start after. About 80$ worth of sensors.
