Man,
don't give up yet! If you are thinking of going carb due to what you describe in the "crank it" thread, I don't think going carb is going to help. You have some wiring to take care of. If you aren't getting power to the right places while cranking or with key in run position, going carb isn't going to fix it. take the suggestions and get to the bottom of the problem. You won't regret sticking with it!

Check your power sources with the key in crank position and with key in run position like suggested in other thread.

Default d-day

in crank it, i explained problems with 5.3/4l60e setup in an '87 c10, motor wont start. my new tac module came today. lets see if it will start. also i found a complete 400 small block. i can pick it up friday. i could pick it up today if my truck would start/run properly. friday afternoon, this motor(400) WILL be in my garage. the 5.3/4l60e won't have the chop my 383 stroker had. also the 383 stroker w/195 afr, and air gap, was the big kid on the block. only takers i could find were big blocks(468/502). ls1tech fam we will see. if i could only find a 350 lockup tranny. the saga continues.

Default 400 small block

i recieved the new tac module today got the same results. i kinda figured i would get the same results(no starting/no idle). i called the vendor and let them listen over the phone and they were speechless with no explanation. they say i gotta scan for trouble codes. that 400 small block is better already.
