Default 97 ws6 to 2000 z28 swap

I bought my 97 nonrunning and have been slowly putting the 383 together for it. Problem is to get the best of everything is real expensive and i'm dying to drive car. Well the opportunity to get a wrecked untitleable 2000 z28 is coming up for relatively cheap at local auction yard. Both are 6speeds. Question is is everything interchangeable to the point it could easily be returned to lt1 when stroker is done? I'd like to get the z car roll out kmember bolt it in and hook everything up with the thought of fixing up stroker and getting it in a year from now. Thanks for any and all replies. Jeff

If you are going to do an LS swap why would you revert back to an LT1 later?!?! If it were me I would get the LS, swap it in, part out your LT parts, and if you are hell bent on a stroker by an LQ4 and build that motor but keep the LS platform.

I thought about that too, Just seeing what everyone thought. The stroker is brand new with ported trickflows, all forged inners, splayed caps blah blah blah. I just want to see it run. Guess I could always stick the lt-1 in my 70 chevelle. Thanks for the response

i agree! if your going to do the swap just leave it. A cam and heads ls1 or lq4/9 would make way more power than that lt1.I say swap it and leave it!

I agree. Go LS1 and put the LT1 in the chevelle. LTs are much easier swaps in older muscle cars. LS1 would be straight forward in the F-Body and make much more power for your money in the long run.
