Default need info on swapping 5.3 into 98 TA

heres the deal, I have a 98 trans am with a knocking ls1. Since I dont have a massive amount of cash laying around im looking at having a 5.3 (LM7) dropped in it. I know the intake manifold and oil pan for sure will need to be switched over. I need to know if any of the following will need to be altered

wiring harness
motor mounts
computer ( will car need a retune)
drive belt setup (pulleys)

Ive never done this swap before, and I dont want anything to get screwed up. If someone has a write up for this direct swap let me know, and yes I read the sticky above, however Im looking for the advice of someone that ha done this work or can tell me what to expect. Thank you in advance for any help you might give.

and yes once swap done I will be selling the block and heads, oil pump seal caused motor failure...however motor will still run and drive and has plenty of power.

I would leave the wiring for the 98 in place and switch the motors. Put the intake from the LS1 on the Vortec along with the oil pan, injectors and accessories (including crank pulley) and call it a day. Computer will need to be flashed for a 5.3L (I think that can be done on the older 98 PCM). LS1 motor mounts will bolt right onto the vortec.

I believe you can use everything from the f-body since you will be using the f-body brackets.

Everything interchanges with one another. No need to drill and tap for the alternator hole. Just use the 2 that are on the 5.3 block it will be fine.
