What do you do to get the TB to clear those two sensors at the rear part of the valley cover/block (cam and crank sensors I think..)??

You can either tap into the block off plate that is just above the oil filter or get creative with a few adapters and plumb it out of the way of the TB. I used a few adapters on mine due to the headers.

FYI.. you can also invert the Fuel rail 180 on the intake too !.. which is what I have done on my Chevelle to match up with the fuel hard line location.

I have seen some DP cars that have run the intake 180 also.

Cool Many thanks for your ideas.

Could be bad English, hope it works.

Here is the project, we are two guys that will build one each.
It will be a 69-70 lemans inspired sports car.
But it will be built as locost as we can, no Porsche gearboxes and so.
The setup for now is Ls1 engine and Auidi 01e gearbox.
Brakes and front hubs from BMW 540 E-39 (many optiones on the aftermarket there)
Tube chassi and a fiberglass body.
And it would be best if there is as little stuff on the engine in the upper front side.
Headers will be 180 degreee and go upp/back as many GT 40:s.
Some pics of the start.

There is a link here in the conversions section about an LS Fiero. It details exactly what they did to turn the intake manifold around.

Thanks, I'll look into some adapters.. And try and find that link - thx

Hox, I like the looks of your car. Will it be a street car, or track only car?

...or you can eliminate it and plug the hole since it only runs a light.

Translating doesent always work i see.

The link to our project is in the first post, but it will have a slow start as i am finishing my Alfa this winter.
Alfa has a 100 year aniversary in Italy at the end of june.
We a few cars that will drive down to it.
I can say that it will be a backbreaking job.
The Alfa is a hardcore clubracer at 750 kg:s, no comfort there.
But ill do it anyway.
The other guy "Ronny" has built his own "locost" super seven with a Alfa 3.0 l v6 and transaxle.
We will make the cars road approved but as fun as possible to take to a track and drive the hell out of it.
I will put in a small AC in the car since it will be more "usable".

Hope you understand, im mutch better building stuff than writing about it.

...hence my comment of "what did you just say?" 'Cause it didn't make a bit of bloody sense to me.

I like the project, can't wait to see the results.
What is in the Alpha that kept squirting up as it revved?
You said transaxle so I assume it is FWD. Sorry, don't know anything about Alpha's other than they are very small and apparently very light by your description.

Hi
Not really sure what you mean, but the car is partly inspired by the "Alfa Romeo" tipo 33 Stradale.

Our project will defenetily have a transaxle.
A transaxle from a Audi a6 tdi (Gearbox 01E, frk) that is mounted in the middle.
Hopefully connected to a ls1engine, Camaro version with 315 hp (i guess)
Cant have to mutch power when we register it. About 20 kw/ 100 kg maximum (in Sweden)
I guess we will have to make a english version of our webpage.
