Default How do you get that grey cover off the PCM plug?

I feel like an idiot asking this, but how do you take off the grey covers on the back of the PCM plugs - the covers that protect the wires as they come out of the plug and run into the harness bundle. It has some little tabs but the slots are VERY narrow. Maybe it's a one-time use thing? I seriously can't seem to get mine off and don't want to break it!

Thanks -Dave

I wish I had a spare harness so I could break it taking it apart and THEN see exactly how it works!!

You have to push them in from the outside wall of the connector. By the way, they are discontinued through GM : ) If they break dont worry about it, they dont keep the wires in.

I finally got them by just pulling them out with needle nose pliers away from the the barb. I slowly pulled at it until it came out, angling off the plug body for leverage.
