Default DBW Throttle Pedal p/n Needed

I've searched a lot and found that the 2007 Monte Carlo DBW pedal is a good fit in the GM A-Body cars. Problem is when I called the dealer to order one they wanted a VIN number. There are apparently two different versions and they use the VIN to determine which you need. I do not know what the difference is, but there were four engines offered in that year (3.5, 3.9, 3.9ff, 5.3).

There was also a decent price difference between the two, but my main concern is getting the right one. I have an LY6 which is a GENIV engine that I will be controlling with the GMPP harness kit so there is no extra module or anything needed for this application. Intake and throttle body are 2008 Y-Body.

Anyone have info? Thanks

Default options

hello gary u. i feel you have real option in my opinion. the first option is to go DBC. if you decide to go DBW you must ensure, I REPEAT, if you decide to go DBW it is headache free if you get the TAC module and foot pedal out of the same vehicle. if not not you ll be running in circles trying to get the throttle to respond. i know because i had the same problem. maybe youll be lucky get the right setup the first go round. it set me back two months on my swap. i still having night mares.

Is anyone able to tell me the wires that are exchanged in the 06-08 Impala 25830023 & the 07-08 Monte Carlo 25830024 pedals with Gen IV engine swaps?

Thanks!
King!
