5.3 alternator

i put a 5.3 into my s-10 and i need to know how to wire the alternator. theres a spot for a connector but i need to get the connector which terminal needs what?

The PCM should control the alt if its a truck PCM and harness. Are you doing a carbed 5.3? did you check the FAQ sticky post 13, there should be a link in there.

yes im going carb and this is my last think i need to do. i read somewhere it just needed one wire hooked up and that was the exciter wire? which one is that
