4L60E conversion tailhousing review? Looking at this 4L60E tailhousing mod for VSS and Mech speedo for my 82. Any good-bad or longevity issues:

I need something for my speedo in my 76 Camaro, I'm just having a hard time accepting paying $475 for that.
I've looked into the cable X box, at least it's programmable to any wheel / tire combo and about $150 less.
But yes I am curious how this tailshaft adapter worked out for others as well.
