Should go right in unless there's something I don't know of. Fit in my g-body and many others just fine.

you have to reposition the frame mounts to the v8 holes. The GN frame should already have the holes predrilled considering that its a g-body frame.

I think you/original poster ment to say Frame Mount.. not body mount.

But Duce is right .. there are holes in your crossmember for about any motor mount to bolt to.

What are you doing with the GN engine?

I'll take that if you don't want it anymore!
If your not going LS Turbo I don't see the point of you putting a lS in really.

What are you using for the oil pan?, unless your using the proper mounts the stock f-body pan might not clear, I had to use a CTS-V oil pan in a customers 79 Monte swap, but most all G-body k-members are the same with exception to the I think 83-up are a little differant.........And as far as I know the V6 and V8 mounts are differant and you would need to not only move the mounts up to the V8 spots but also use the V8 style mounts, also PM'ed ya.

Man do I hate to see a GN get fitted with anything but a GN motor. I've had a 87 GN for years and love it. Good luck on your build.

I would not recommend using the V-6 Frame mounts. I'm doing a similar swap(84 Regal T-Type) with a 6.0L and I'm using the 200r4 trans to back it up. I was having a hard time with the v-6 mounts, sooo....I went to vato zone and got myself some frame mounts for any v8 80s g body will work. They are part number 2292, about $17 bucks for both mounts. Look them up so you see what they look like. Then I went to flEbay and got some "v8 clam shells" for a Small Block Chevy. These are the upper mounts that would normally bolt up to the engine block itself on the old school sbc they are normally called "upper mounts" or "clam shells", I paid $16 for mine and they came media blasted and painted. The opening on the clam shells must be 4" in order to fit over the motor mount(2292). Is this making sense? I will post pictures later. Then you are going to need some Trans Dapt LS1 swap plates, they are part number 4572, these will bolt up to your new ls1. then bolt up the clam shells to the trans dapt plates and you're done there. You will need to drill new holes for the V8 frame mounts(2292) possibly I'm not sure because I'm not that far into the swap yet, but I may update soon in about a week.

Just moved my 43K T-Type the other day to storage and was thinking of the same swap! The buick stuff is just not reliable..and you gotta hate money to do anything. The car went 10's which was maybe part of that parts breakage issue. But, I know if I put the LS with a stock short, TFS heads and the spare 42R I have sitting around I could have some real fun and not break it!

Good luck with your swap..
