Here is what I have. I am going to run my stock tank that was just replaced. I have the vette filte/regulator. I am not sure on fuel pump I am looking at the walbro 392 or the bosch 044. My question is what lines should I run. I was thinking of running s/s lines or aluminum. I have been looking at the russell twist lok, prorace hose or the proclassic.
I like the look of the s/s and aluminum lines, but I like the ease of use of the other especially since I have no bending skills or flaring tools. Any downfall on going with the rubber lines?
Any feedback would be great as I know their have been several post on these but I think it comes down to cost and preference. Cost is not a factor since I can buy direct from russell.
hey man, what was the part number on the vette regulator/filter? (or year to order it for) Just starting my swap and trying to get my ducks in a row. thanks. i was planning on using all braided AN lines, but just getting started so i might change my mind.
Its a wix # 33737(99-02 vette filter). I actually have 2 of them.I will see were I left the other one and send you a pm. After doing some research I found out the fuel lines above have issues. At this point I will run s/s hard lines on most of the system and then run some ptfe flex line were needed.
I would recommend for any street car.. going to as must hard line as possible.. I have full 3/8" SS hard lines in my A-Body. but mine was put in while the body was off of the frame. that helps a lot !
3/8" should get up of to 450-475+ ok... then I would go 1/2" just to be overkill at that point. Also with the hard lines to AN.. you can use compression fitting to AN, but my suggestion is to braze a AN fitting on the end of the hard line. It is safer and more secure.
may be a moot point.. but NHRA as a limit on how much rubber line you can run.. just a though.
