Default Stock ls3 cam

Will a stock ls3 cam work in a stock 6.0 ly6? Believe the heads are the same as the l92 rect port heads(823). I am trying to delete the VVT on this motor. I know there are better choices but you can get stock ls2 and ls3 cams cheap. I will be use the ls3 intake. 1. Will it increase performance over stock ly6 vvt? 2. Will the lifters, rocker arms, and or springs need to be changed? (I have a set of ls2 springs) 3. Will there be a PTV problem? I know the timing chain and cover will need to be changed. I don't need a race motor just one without the vvt. Any info on this would be great.

Thanks for the help!

The LS3 cam will work the springs should be fine as well. You'll need to swap to the LS3 front timing cover.

But why not keep the VVT, it'll really help with lowend torque. The LS3 intake is better than the truck intake as well.
