Default Help - need mini start length

I'm doing an engine swap, and was finishing up the mounts when i realized that the factory starter is too long. This is a RHD car and the steering rack is in the way.

If anyone has one they could measure and tell me the length i'd appreciate it. I'd like to finish the mounts tomorrow, and i haven't had any luck on manufacturers websites, summit, etc.

thanks,
James

The 6.0 truck starter are about and inch shorter and smaller in diamter then most of the other starters. On another forum I read that the MSD is the smallest of the mini-starters for the LS motors

Here is thread with a pic of the truck starter

I have the MSD starter. the truck starter above is shorter. Not sure about diameter of the motor.

Summit sells a ministarter that mounts the motor above the gear reduction unit. Might give you more clearance on the bottom. I notice they just raised the price siginificantly too. Use to be 170.
