Exclamation California Referee Questions

I recently did a smog legal engine swap and have some questions about when I take my car to the Referee to get it certified. The donor car was a 4L60E 2001 Camaro SS with traction control. The swap car is a 4L60E 1999 Pontiac Firebird V6 with no traction control.
  • I recently received my registration in the mail and smog is due by the end of March. Do you think there is enough time for me to get my car certified before then?
  • Will a "service vehicle" light (NOT service engine) due to a missing traction control system (donor car had it, my car does not) cause them to fail me?
  • Is there anything else I should know before scheduling an appointment with the referees? Any tips?

Call the BAR Advisory ppl in sacramento, here is there number, 916-255-4200. Also according to this website, it seems that it won't matter, you should be fine.

Hope this helps!
