Default 68 camaro 6.0 question

Just finished the swap on camaro, carbed 6.0.
It idles fine but when you hold the throttle at a higher rpm it starts surging and sometimes pops out the exhaust? I don't know if I have a bad coil pack or I'm not getting enough voltage? Has anyone experienced this? I'm just burned out mentally.
Thanks

Lots of the old point ignition cars had a resistor wire going to the coil. If you use this wire to feed modern ignitions systems you might have problems.

Mine did the same thing. Make sure your power wire is from a switched 12 v source. When I first wired mine up it was pulling power from a 6 v wire, so anything over like 3 grand it broke up and back fired.

You should really run a dedicated relay and fuse for the box with 10 gauge wire IMO direct from the battery and the ground ran back to the battery for no issues. Plus you can use it with a switch as an engine kill switch just in case.
