New 5.3L swap harness advice needed
Well the 4cyl in my jeep finally blew up so it is time for a V8. I have been doing as much research and reading about swapping in a Gen 3 as I can during the last few months. My motor will be here later on this week, and I hope to pick up a matching 4L60E here soon. That said, Im still somewhat fuzzy on the wiring harness work. I kept all of the senders and the harnesses from the jeep in the event I keep the stock guages. The swap has to be emissions legal....
Questions
What are some good online resources for modifying my own harness?? I plan to get repair manual for the donor, but Im looking for either a good thread or a site with emissions legal swap harness info.
What is the back thought on swapping into the stock harness? I have a basic idea on the topic and know with a standalone harness It will be pretty independent. Is it going to be easier to simply wire in all new gauges and only use the basics from the factory harness?
94 YJ with a manual and 4cyl

Thanks
