Default 4th gen fbody rear end in gbody?

I have an 84 gbody cutlass and a friend of mine has a stock 10 bolt out of an ls1 camaro. Would the mounts all have to be relocated for it to mount up or would it bolt up? The only reason im considering this is because my rear now has 2.51 open gears and this one has 3.42's and posi.

can i ask why u r even using a 10 bolt? they r very weak id suggest a 12 bolt...

This wont be a high horsepower car. just mainly want to swap because i can get it cheap and would be gaining better gears and a posi. not worried about breaking it with street tires.

alrighty, jsut had to forewarn you about the 10 bolt.

unfortunately i got no clue if it will work or not but i cant imagine it would be very ahrd to make up a few mounts if ya had to

no, it won't bolt in. not even close.

I'd recommend an 8.5" 10 bolt from one of the turbo Buicks (GN, T-Type, 442) it will be a direct bolt in with the exception of shortening the driveshaft 1"
