which mustang headers for lsx swap??
guys that have modified headers to fit lsx series engines, which headers did you end up using besides aftermarket? im doing a "budget swap" and want to modify some mustang LT's.... could you use 5.0 headers? or only 351w header?
and since mine is a 96, do they have to be sn95 specific or can i get fox LT's?

I think most guys use the shorties from foxbodies. There was a thread on here where someone even used ebay $75 shorties and they worked. Not sure about the LT's tho.

I've been doing some reading, and seems to be that the only difference in 302 to 351 is the port shape, which in this case doesn't matter.
Now I just gotta figure out if foxbody lt's will pose a clearance problem in my 96 with stock k

no, the difference between the 302 and the 351 long tubes is the length of the tube, the 351 has a deck height similiar to an LS and thats why people use the 351 swap headers with a new flange and modified tubes.
I am planning to get a set of 351 shorties and putting the ls flanges on them... seems like it would be easier to snake an h-pipe up into the engine vs getting the long tube down with modification...
