Default fuel rail

Ok so i have truck injectors that i removed the cup off the end to fit my ls1 intake and when i went to hook up the fuel rails they are about 3/4" away? The rail was on a ls6 manifold. Are the truck injectors shorter or are the rails different?

Car rails and injectors only work on car intakes. Truck rails and injectors only work on truck intakes. Yes, the truck injectors are shorter than the car injectors.

I'm sure there is a way to mod it to work but I wouldn't suggest it. Think like this... 60#'s of fuel and untested oddball connections with under hood heat = fire. Just buy car injectors you will be time and stress ahead. Keep in mind you will need new electrical plugs to the injectors because they use different connectors.

Depends on the applications. Will a LS6 from a Z06 share the same flow rate as a 275 HP 4.8 from a truck - probably not. But the LS6 intake, rail and injectors will work on the engine and if the harness is modified to power the injectors it will run with a factory tune. Will it magically make gobs of power and be optimum... No, but it will work. Will it run like a sick three legged dog... probably not. The computer will likely keep things in a point where everything works and most people may not even notice or care.

I saw an incomplete chart about different flow rates for varying engines broken down by year and application but I can't find it. I believe it was on LT1swap.com but I'm not sure. If I happen across it I will post a link to it.
