Default L92 oil pressure sensor

I have a 2009 L92. Is there any reason the valley cover oil pressure port can't be drilled to accept a NPT oil pressure sender? I don't care for adapters if at all possible. I've drilled the oil filter adapter thing on previous swaps but the sender gets kind of close to the headers.

Just curious.

Shouldn't be a problem. I'm considering tapping and plugging the block below that port, then milling and welding the valley plate and picking up a pressure reading by the filter pad on my next build.

I have mine set up with npt, but my valley cover is custom made from aluminum diamond plate. If the factory cover is thick enough in that area, it will work.
