Default '91 RS LS1/4L60E swap w/ a few pics...

Just figured I'd post a few pics.
Donor car: '99 z28
Recipient car: '91 RS

Mounting - Used Hawks Third Gen LSx swap motor mounts and trans cross brace.
Powertrain - Stock LS1
Induction - 90* Silicone coupler to connect the TB to the MAF, large K&N filter right off the MAF.
Fuel - Used the fuel tank and fuel lines from the donor car, swapped it directly over. Had to trim the rubber filler neck a few inches shorter to get it to fit.
Wiring - Used the stock wiring harness and used the under hood LS1 fuse blocks to power the powertrain.
Cooling - Used the LS1 radiator and dual fans.
Drivetrain - Stock trans, stock converter, swapped over the '99 rear end 3.23/posi/disk brakes to replace the 2.73/non-posi/drum brake equiped stock rear end.
Misc - I deleted the heater/AC box in the fire wall.

Possibly unique procedures:
-I took on of the TC trottle cable mid lines from the donor car (ASR equipped) and moddified the adjustment section to be the exact length needed to use it as a non-TC throttle cable. Fits perfectly.
-Instead of wiring up the stock gauges to work, I installed the 4th gen gauges in the 3rd gen dash and they all work flawlessly. Had to trim the cluster gauge cavity a little to fit them, but now they sit in their nicely.

I have more pics if needed...

If you have anymore pics of that guage cluster in the car i would love to see them. I know your dash is slightly different from mine but i would like to make that work with mine. Alot cheaper than a speedo converter box for my cable speedo or adapting to the old style tail housing. thanks.

It's done. Got an exhaust shop to make a custom y-pipe to mate to the stock LS1 manifolds. Using a Flowmaster muffler for now. Car idles, drives, shifts, and pulls perfect.

I'll probably put a custom bezel over it to fill in the gaps on the sides.
