Default Power steering pump hose

Hello. I'm swapping in an LQ9 with the Corvette front accessory drive into my 82 Monte Carlo. If anyone has used the C5 drive system in a G-body, where did you get you power steering lines, or did you use the stock lines?

Use a powersteering hose from a C5 vette. There is a thread with this suggestion in it. Actually.... I believe it was a 85 Monte with the same Vette accessarydrive. The powersteering box has the same(vette/monte) threads so its aeasy swap

Or, you can simply make your own lines. Eaton-AeroQuip has the fittings, and the hose. Its easy. Thats what I did.

The AeroQuip braided lines have been on my truck for 5 years with absolutely no problems at all. This Hi-Performance Series of hose & fittings from AeroQuip is rated at working pressures that far exceed a power-steering lines use. If you get the free parts book from any Eaton-AeroQuip Dealer or Distributor, it includes a great "How-To" on proper line/fitting assembly. Been using it on all my Offshore Powerboat, Street Rod, Muscle Cars, etc, for 25 years. No worries. Excellent product.

I used Russell hoses and fitting.. you got to remember that the power steering is around 1500 PSI ! (give a take another 100 PSI)...

Russell has there Teflon Line SS braided hose. I have had not problem using it and their AN fitting and adpters.

Check out this thread.

Used a factory hose from Caddy Escalade and screw right into corvette pump and right into monte carlo ss box.
