Default need some help

car runs great. ls1 in 69 camaro, drive it all day, temp stays at 190. shut it off and try to start it a short time later. sometimes it just catches and starts most times its like it floods out. it turns over but won`t start and you get smoke out of the pipes and a gas smell. let it set for like 25 to 35 min, starts right up. fuel pressure is at 59 / 60 just put another set of injectors on. a guy told me one might be leaking. did the same thing. my fuel set up is 69 caprice gas tank, vette fuel filter reg right at the tank, one line up to stock fuel rail. turn key 5 wire harness. don`t know what to try next. going to the ocean city MD car show may 19 to the 23 and would like to fix this problem. any input would be great thanks mike

At 60PSI very unlikely it's vapor lock.

Sounds like the cold start enrichment is making an intitial fuel spray no matter what the temp....thats why when it is cold or sits it starts right up, but when hot, you are seeing it act as its flooded. Look in the tune tables to see where all the parameters for cold start are set.

no way to tune it, its a turnkey wire harness. 5 wire hook up, no mass air flow, no o2`s. i called them up. they have no clue. they said they never had that problem. i have about 600 mi on it, so the motor has about 2000mi. i don`t think it will do a cold spray with this harness, i will call them on that. i will try anything lol thanks

I would give Rapid Motorsports a call. They have a real good reputation in regards to tuning LS1 engines.
