which plugs for LQ4 with carb?
Im trying to figure out if I need a hotter plug for my motor. Its a LQ4 with around 10:1 compression, 244/250 .612 .620 with 113lsa, patriot 317 heads milled, pro systems carb(I got the build sheet). My problem is that Im running real rich. I dont know alot about carbs and tried to play with the air screws but I was told that it should be close out of the box. Im running a ngk R5671A-8 part number 4554. Its has fouled this set so I was just going to get someone elses thought before I go buy a new set. I checked the plugs and they are real black but its like carbon black not a wet black.

thanks, yea I think I got it leaned out alittle. The fuel level was way too full in the glass eye. It dont seem as rich as it did. I was gonna get a wideband or get someone that has one. Thats what I was wondering if the plugs I had was good for my application or should I go with something a little hotter. Im gonna get the carb right just wondering what plug I should use.
