Default 95 Lexus SC400 LS1/4l60e

Ive been pondering the swap for along time now. And over on the Lexus forum, people keep asking questions about the swap. So I decided to go ahead and do the swap. I needed a new motor (or atleast a rebuild) anyway. Im keeping it simple at first. Just a basic LS1 with p&p heads and a hot cam. Simply do the the factory IRS. I changed the gears (4.10's) out last year but Im not 100% that the shafts will hold the diffenence in torque. Im using mostly all factory or hipo factory parts, to keep the cost down. Im doing this swap b/c the 1uzfe platform doesnt have torque (I LOVE TORQUE) and so many people say it will cost a fortune. And if the engine bay has room for a DOHC engine, I think I might be able to fit an LS down it. I will be posting pics through out the build.

Please post pics.

I may be wrong, but isnt the SC400 the same as a MKIV Supra?
If so, then use a TRD diff and turbo supra parts for the rear end?

I will post pics as it happens. Right now Im sizing up what all i need and buy parts.

Update. After carefull measuring of the engines and placement options. I have concluded that the plan has changed. I have more than enough room to run a tubo. Low boost of course until I get a progerly built motor. But with the room I have it will be so simple. So the build just got cheaper believe that or not. Now Im just going to run all stock parts. Ill change the head gaskets out to try to lower the compression a little bit. And I have a 66mm turbo sitting on a shelf. I know its not the biggest turbo out there but with a basically stock LS1, spool will be fine with 5-6 lbs.

Yes it is. I have already upgraded to a turbo supra rear diff. That is a basic upgrade to any SC. Its a must have. Plus the shafts are alot stronger.
