Default your thoughts on s-10 fuel pump for a lq4

hello i have been planning a fuel system for my 60 chevy p/u.a few years back i installed a s-10 blazer tank where the spare tire went.now that im going the LS route i would like to use the 93 blazer 4.3 CPI fuel pump.i know the pressure specs are the same as a 03 lq4,so it should handle the psi well, but what i dont know if theres any differance in the gph specs.the 4.3 pump would be an ideal pump for my truck that i could pick up from ac delco and install right in my tank.appreciate all input thanks!!

Hook it up & run it, to see its sufficient, if its already in the vehicle. You will know right away if it can supply the volume.

The 93 sending unit will have a removable pump so you can just get a pump for a 96 5.7L 1500 pickup and swap it on. You should be able to buy a sending unit without pump aftermarket aswell. If your parts guys know there stuff they should be able to find out the volume specs on the different pumps too. I believe Carter usually published that info.

if the LQ4 is mostly stock then the pump will be fine. We have done a couple of S10 swaps with lq4's and 5.3's. We reused the stock in tank pumps (one was an 01 and the other was a 93) they worked ok. If you are worried about it then just swap a walbro into the stock sending unit.

Or a pump and/or a sender module for a '96 4.3 V-6 will work also.
