Default '94 T/A 6.0/T56 Build

Well, now that I'm almost done I figured I could take some time and make a build thread.

I spent MANY hours on hear searching and searching on what I needed to do and so far things have gone well.

Now for the details:

94 Trans Am formerly LT1/A4
After 3 dead Opti's in 7 years, I decided it was time for something else. A friend talked me into an LS swap (didn't have to convince me much) and so this winter I started gathering parts.

2006 LQ4 with 70k miles
2002 Camaro T56 with 30K

Engine:
L92 heads, Manley dual valve springs
Furtral spec'd cam (228/238, .630/.600, 112 LSA)
LS3 intake/rail with FAST 50# injectors
Stock bottom end, with ARP rod bolts
Nick Williams 92 mm TB
Powerbond underdrive
Kooks long tubes

Trans:
Stock T56
Hurst Billet/Plus shifter
Centerforce Aluminum Flywheel
Centerforce Light Metal Clutch (when I got the trans from the yard, I had them throw in the flywheel from that car. Ended up being the CF aluminum flywheel and the LMC kit, all for $125!! I sent the clutch and FW to be rebuilt at Centerforce for less than $200. Not a bad deal!)

Other additions:
BMR K-member
BMR torque arm (made my own crossmember mount next to trans)
Auto Meter Ultra Lite II oil pressure and water temp, pillar mount
Converted to 02 console
ABS delete with Willwood prop. valve
B&M Line Lock

Guess that's about it for parts. Probably forgetting some but the list is long and boring enough....

After a few problems, got it started last week. Still a few things to finish then work on a tune (using HPTuners with speed density) then hope for a drive in a few days.

Here are some pictures. Comments/questions always welcome.

Pic from last year:

Coming out...

Engine Build:

Trick Flow double roller

ARP rod bolts and new windage tray (exciting, i know)

Short block assembled

I could look at these headers for hours... In a completely heterosexual way of course.

K-member

Modified the ABS bracket, not painted yet don't worry

And how it sits today:

Here's a video of it running the first time. My camera didn't like the open headers. I'll get more vids up later. Still haven't tuned it yet, doesn't quite want to idle...

Well, that's all for now.

I'll work on it some more and update progress.

Thanks to all those that made build threads here to help me get this going! Wouldn't be done if it weren't for this site, also LT1swap.com, and my local forum in MN http://www.mngmp.org/forums/
