Couple questions on fox mustang swap
Hi Guys,
I'm in the planning stages and want to drop a LS motor into a fox notchback. Had a few questions I was hoping you could answer.
1.) Wiring - at a high level, am I correct in thinking that I can simply leave the chassis harness in tact to operate lights, windows, radio, etc. and just us a GM engine / tranny harness and ECM to control the engine? Use a factory harness or stand alone?
2.) LS1 or LS2 - is one a better choice for a swap over the other (besides HP advantage of the LS2)? I'll be buying a used engine and would like to have an auto transmission. Any years better than others? What should I be on the lookout for?
3.) DBW or manual throttle cable? Guess that depends on year engine and PCM that I go with, but any significant challenges with DBW?
Guess that's all I have for now. Thanks.
