Default ATT:FOXBODY LSX / AJE TRANS X-MEMBER USERS i have a question

i'm using an AJE trans crossmember and they dont use a trans mount , my question is , anyone else have a driveline vibration ?

Yes, I have it and no vibration. Thats what the poly mounts are for on the ends where it mounts in the car.

i am using all there stuff and i have a vibration at like 60mph you can start to feel, i have no idea what it is.

going to get my "NEW " driveshaft rebalanced tis week see if thats it

Have you ran the car yet with the combo in your sig?

And if you have a vibration at 60ish mph it could be a few different things. wheel, tire, driveshaft, etc.

no havent ran the car yet , wheels and tires are new and balanced , driveshaft is new also virbation is felt on the highway .. the place that built the drivshafts they said it zero balanced which is hard to believe so i'm bringing the drivshaft to another shop tomorrow and get it balanced hope it works

well i brought the driveshaft to a shop to be balanced ( remember this is new and was just built by another shop) so they threw it on the machine, the runout was .020 .. and it needed 1 quarter size weight on each end of the shaft .. i'm going to put it back in the car tonight , vibration should be gone

I was suspecting it was the driveshaft. Ive had that xmember for 4 years, no problem.

drove the car to work today , vibration is still there even tho the drive shaft was out of balance .. going to check other things like pinion bearing , may redesign the AJE crossmember to except GM trans mount ,

Just ordered my aje X-member and was wondering did anybody have any trouble running exhaust? Im running a powerglide and it looks like its gonna be a PITA running exhaust on the driverside. Im gonna take it to my local exhaust shop and see what they can do. Im just gonna run some 3 inch pipe with some bullets.

nope. i did my whole exhaust on my back using jack stands just had to cut a few inches off the dynatech driver side collector and its fine. i ran true duals 3" and 2 large bullets, i also have a th400.

im pretty sure after all this time of having a vibration in the car i may have found it , i do believe the flex plate is EGGED , (out of round) i did buy it used off a member on here, I'm going to order a new YANK SFI piece this week , hope this solved my problem .
