Default 99 sonoma zq8 LQ4/4L80E

i just got done with my swap.
the truck is a 99 gmc sonoma reg. cab. short bed. zq8 package.
i used a 2004 6.0 lq4 and a 2003 4l80e, current performance wiring harness and tune, sanderson 1 5/8 headers, be cool radiator, jegs dual 12" s-blade fans, a granatelli 255lph in tank pump, -8an line, an aeromtive regulator, custom chromoly driveshaft, and made the 2.5" mandrel y-pipe into the single 3.5" exhaust with a straight-thru magnaflow.

i got the swap done at 2:00 am on last saturday.... i raced it wed. night on 255/50/16 drag radials with a stock torque converter and 3.42 gears. it was hot as helll, and went 13.53 @104 with a 2.09 60ft...

today i raced it again, same stuff, just a little cooler, and went 13.20 @105.86 mph with a 1.9 60ft.

i just ordered last night a moser 12 bolt with c-clip eliminators, 33 spline axles, a detroit true-trac, a diff cover girdle, and 3.73's....

i also am going to put a 3000-3200 stall converter in it.

its heavier than i thought it would be (3640lbs with me, (i only weigh 130))but i think this will get it into the 12.70-12.80's.... oh yea on 87 octane.

ive put exactly 1,000 miles on it this week(im on vacation) and knock on wood, havent had to touch anything. even beating on it im averaging 17.03mpg.

i couldnt be happier with how stock the truck drives.

my plans are the rear end, then converter, then probably 100-150shot of nitrous, id like the truck to run as close to 11.50's as possible, but i do not want a cage in it, this is my only vehicle, truley daily driven 7 days a week.

How tight a fit is it with the 4l80-e tranny? Do you have any pics of the exhaust/steering column area?.

i can try to get some pics this weekend. the trans was not actually that bad.... just banged in the pinch weld towards the front of the trans tunnel and had to fabricate a crossmember. other than that it loooks pretty much like it belongs in there.

im still debating how fast i wanna make this truck... the rears is gonna be here friday with 3.73's. i was gonna do the converter and probably nitrous. but i dont know if i wanna leave it alone and have a true daily driver that runs 12.9999/13.00001 (with the new gears) and get into a LS1 f-body with a truck manifold turbo setup.(which is what i really want...)

its fun none the less. it surprised a few people, not because its the fastest thing, but because it looks so stock... lol
