Default pcm question

On the clutch pedal switch for the pcm. If iam not going to use do i just ground it?

If your computer came off a car with auto trans, it's already programmed out. Which means if you're not adding cruise control, you can probably program it out. In normal application it looks for a 12v signal, but I dont recall if it's NO or NC. Search for cruise control info here.

well mine came with a t56, i guess what iam trying to ask. Does the neutral safety witch and clutch pedal switch need grounding or power for the motor to turn?

Not sure about neutral safety but the clutch pedal position lead looks for 12v, not ground. But as far as I can tell, the only thing it does is disables the cruise control.

So on the vette, you connect the original purple starter wire to the ls1 starter and the heavy gauge black wire to the power?

I completely rewired my car when I did the LS swap. The original alternator was about 40 amps, the LQ is 140 amps. So my keyed ignition switch was wired directly to the starter solenoid. The efi harness was completely separate.
