Trying to get my car started w/o MAF I just finished putting a LQ4 into my 89 Camaro. The car will fire right up but dies one second later. I'm trying to locate a MAF but until then I wanted to get it started. I seem to remember people running these engines on stands and the back of trucks so I believe its possible. Can anybody help?

I use HPT, I went into the systems tab and changed the vats to none. Is there something else that I need to do? I'm using a PCM out of a 02 Camaro BTW.

Ok I found my problem. Although I had changed VATs to none I didn't turn off the DTCs. Did it this morning and she purs like a kitten. Thanks for the help!
