Default What gages run off of the standard ecm output of the ls engines

Will any gage that uses an electronic sending unit read correctly off of the outputs from the pcm? More specifically oil pressure, and temperature?

thas kinda broad question...

short answer is yes...

long answer is depend on the gauge u use...

my autometer c2 tach and speed work off the pcm/vss...my full sweep gauges doesn't work with anything from the ls1...atleast i dunnoe how and see nothing stating so...

Tach and VSS are the only PCM outputs. Theres serial too, but not many people have cracked those

The LS1 oil sender is compatible with most stock/aftermarket gauges. The 98 CTS/gauge sender combo is pretty darn close to most analog sweeps so I recommend it for simplicity. Other options are a remote mounted sender in the pass cyl head or a tapped section of pipe in a coolant hose

That should be all the common gauges related to the engine

So the oil pressure and coolant temp are straight from senders on the block. Has anyone had luck using the autometer sport comp oil pressure gage with the stock sending unit? or the temp gage?
