Default Swap Gurus, help me figure out what ECM I need

I'm gathering parts together to swap a boosted LQ4 into my '84 Monte SS. The LQ4 is out of a 2005 Silverado & the trans I'll be running is a 4L80E out of a 1997 Suburban. The wire harness I picked up is from a Hummer H2 with a LQ4/4L60E, so I know I will have to have the harness mod'd for my 4L80E. My biggest concern is that I'm going to run a drive-by-cable throttle body & I've been told that only specific ECM's accept the TBC firmware. Or can I just get any LQ4 ECM & flash a file from a vehicle that ran DBC?

I'll be hunting the yards over the weekend, so what make & model do I need to pull an ECM from???

Everything is still GEN III electronics, why not go with the tried and true Fbody/C5 PCM. All it would require is a PCM repin and DBC connectors ran. PCMs are very common in yards, not in Fbodys or vettes, but in S10s, vans, etc

This would be the easiest route. Look for a service number 12200411, I picked up another one of these the other day at a pick a part for $25.

Rick, why did you seek out this particular ECM versus say, the one listed above? What vehicle did it come out of? I found a local yard that sells ECM's for $25 & they have TONS of different ones.
