Default oil pressure gauge

Is there anywhere on the block where I could mount a mechanical oil pressure gauge besides where the electric one is already?

Thanks in advance

This thing? In the pic it's flipped back but is this the right thing?

This might also work: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

No.... You drill and tap about where the yellow arrow is pointing to. You want to drill/tap somewhere in between the two bolts, somewhere on the bubbled area of that piece.

Yes that is also what I am talking about, but notice how that piece has two holes behind it that it covers... is it necessary to locate my drilled and tapped spot directly about either one of these holes? or can i just simply pick a spot on the bubble? basically what i am trying to figure out is: are both of those holes at are covered by that plate pressurized? like are both the same pressure, i just don't want to cause a cross over between a high pressure side and a low pressure side if there wasn't meant to be one. but if they are both leading to the same pressurized oil chamber then that wouldnt happen....does this make sense? im having a hard time trying to explain what i am asking

I can't recall for sure, but I think the two ports are connected anyway, with the back of the piece being pointed to looking like the fourth picture of this thing in the ebay listing (not my listing). http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

yeah tap the "bubbled" part in the middle. The holes are for an external oil cooler witch nobody runs, one is a feed to the cooler & one is a return the "bubble" plate that your gona tap is just a block off that recurclates it back into the pan, so anywhere on the bubble will get the job done.

That's exactly what I was saying I didn't want to do, they wouldn't make that spot re circulate or that would bleed off pressure and then the oil would never have enough pressure to lubricate your engine.

If the holes are for a cooler anyway, and the oil would just be going out one into a cooler and then back in the other hole, then what is the difference either way?
