Default 02 sensor wiring issues

Dilemma- I'm trying to wire an O2 sim into my downstream O2 sensor on my 1997 XJ to get rid of the code. I've been putting this off for two years now because the diagrams don't match up, so I figured I'd ask here

Heating elements are simple, but the catch I'm running into is the Jeep has "Downstream O2 sensor signal(tan/black)" and "sensor ground(brown/yellow)", where the LS1 diagrams have "downstream O2 sensor High(purple)" and "downstream O2 sensor low(tan)"

Which way do I wire it up? The arrows on the schematic lead me to believe low signal on the LS1 and Sensor Signal on the jeep FSM diagrams are the same wire, while high on the LS1 is considered ground. Am I right, or is my thinking backwards?

Thanks ya'll!

I believe that the sensor low is going to be the ground. You can verify that with a meter.

Guess I'll have to shimmy under the Miata and see. Good idea!

Sensor "low" is ground...
