th400 , gear and tire size for my 89 notch 60ft help
hey quys my best is 12.07@114 w 1.76 60ft . This was with a stock 98 engine with long tubes. My th400 , 4000 stall and 3.55 gears w/ 26" tall tires. Car weight is 3080 lbs with a full tank and race weight.
I now run a tourqer v3 cam and ls6 intake but no times yet. Dont think this will help my 60ft. I need to get in the 1.5-1.6 60ft but what would you think i'll need gear and tire size wise to do this .
I would have thought wit a 3000lb car with a th400 and 3.55's it would 60ft better .

What rear suspension?
My '00 GT
stock lq4, stock 241s, carb/msd 6010
3.73, turbo 400/3500 stall went 1.62 60' running extremely rich...
I am running Team Z lowers, relocated uppers, and anti rollbar though
edit
using 325 /50/15 MT radials (28")

I run rear drag springs with air bags. Not sure of the brand but I have some lowers with adj spring perches and Adj upper control arms. I did find my pinion angle was neg 12 and should be neg 3 but no sure if that will help any
