took my swapped cutlass to the track
Took my 84 cutlass to a local 1/8th mile track today ran a new best:
8.60 1/8th
2.17 60ft
(the track doesn't give mph)
Mods include:
carbed 4.8
tsp220r cam
pacesetter longtubes
th350 with 3600 stall
3.73 gears
3400lbs with driver
Also note this is on regular 255/60/15 street tires as I drive the car almost daily. Not drag radials. With drag radials or slicks I hope to improve on the 60ft times. I am also planning more weight reduction.

Well before this year they didn't even give 60ft times or time slips, they just called the times out on a loudspeaker. It is a really old track. So 60ft times, reaction times, and et's are a big improvement.

yeah I guess you're right. MPG, IMO, is a better performance indication than ET, though so it would be annoying for me personally.
Get that 60ft down and you're knocking on 12's! Not bad for a car the way it sits as a daily.
