Default Syclone clone

Maybe not a clone, but a quick 4WD S10. I am trying to decide what transfer case to use. As i understand the Borg-Warner 4472 was used in the syclone. Its widely available, cheap, and strong.

Another option is the 4481 out of a Denali/Escalade.

I wouldn't mind the option is disengage the front tires for burnouts, donuts, etc. Think a NP241 would work? No viscous coupling.

I read a writeup somewhere about a guy using a 4wd front axle tube and a cable setup that allowed him to engage and disengage the front axle while still using a BW 4472. I'll try to find it.

Found it:
